In culmination of our "You Gotta Read This!" Challenge, our community will be discussing the selected book for this year: Demystifying Disability by Emily Ladau. If you are attending the Parent Retreat (Saturday, 9/30 at Harper College), please join us in-person for this discussion from 2:00-3:00pm. If you would like to participate live, but are unable to attend the in-person event, please register to participate in our zoom option. When registering, please note that there are 2 price options. This is a FREE discussion; however, if professionals are interested in receiving 1 hour of EI Continuing Education Credit (approved), a small fee is required.
Our reading challenge creates the perfect opportunity to suggest that others listen, absorb, and reflect upon the perspectives of those close to the disability community. We are looking forward to an interactive discussion!
