Terri Simpson Pileggi
Fundraising Chair
Terri Simpson Pileggi brings more than 20 years of experience as a special education teacher at the junior high and secondary levels, with a deep passion for supporting children with disabilities and their families. As Fundraising Chair, she is committed to helping C.I.T.Y. expand its reach and connect families with meaningful resources and support.
Terri previously served as a Lead Coordinator for Mended Little Hearts of Chicago, drawing from her experience as the mother of a son born with a congenital heart defect. This personal journey strengthened her commitment to supporting families navigating unexpected challenges.
Currently studying to become a licensed financial advisor, Terri hopes to help families navigate the financial considerations that can accompany raising children with disabilities. She also stays active in her community as a therapy dog handler and volunteer and enjoys time with her husband, Mario, and their blended family of six children.
