Genero-C.I.T.Y. Boxes
Our DIY cards have always been appreciated by family and friends. NOW, we have created a way to spread cheer throughout the community with our GENEROC.I.T.Y. Boxes. This community service project is simple:
- Purchase a package online and receive 12 DIY card kits with all of the instructions and supplies you’ll need.
- Select the recipients of your choice using our enclosed options (i.e. children’s hospitals, nursing homes, veterans).
- Send the completed cards back to C.I.T.Y. of Support with the provided envelope, and we will distribute them on your behalf to these grateful community partners.
Kids AND adults can get in on the fun and make a significant impact spreading joy and kindness in our community. Our packages are now available with online ordering and shipping options, and soon, we hope to be able to host in-person card-making events where we can create even more connections with our GENEROC.I.T.Y. Boxes!

Help us assemble our “Welcome to our C.I.T.Y.” kits, developed specifically for brand-new parents whose newborn has been referred for therapy, especially following a NICU stay.
We create gift bags for families being discharged from hospitals across Chicagoland congratulating them on the birth of their child, introducing them to local resources, and welcoming them to our supportive community.

Start by filling out a volunteer application and we will add you to our list and keep you informed on any upcoming volunteer opportunities at events!
One of the most impactful ways to help is to tell your friends, neighbors, and therapists about us!
- Share our newsletters and Facebook posts
- Invite them to the Facebook group
- Bring them along to an event
- Advertise your support and engage crafters (of any age!) by sending a personalized DIY birthday/appreciation/holiday card to your friends and family, available in our shop!
